This is the 2025 release of E.H. Taylor Bottled-in-Bond, and it’s the first new bourbon added to the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC) in almost 20 years.

It’s aged for 15 years and 4 months.

Bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV), adhering to the traditional Bottled-in-Bond regulations.

Uses Buffalo Trace’s Mash Bill No. 1 (a low-rye recipe).

Many of the barrels come from Warehouse C, which is historically significant (Taylor-era).
Tasting Notes
Nose (Aroma):

Very oak-forward.

Apple crisp with cinnamon.

Soft vanilla, bramble fruit, clove, and a hint of dates.
Palate (Taste):

Spiced oak initially, with “baking spice” feel.

Vanilla wafers.

Baked apple, cherry “red hots,” ripe raspberry, and mocha.
Finish:

Warming and subtle.

Over time, wood tannins develop, with pepper and a layer of dried berries.
