• Alfonso Oloroso Seco is a fortified sherry from the “Sherry Triangle” region in Jerez, Spain. It’s made from 100% Palomino Fino grapes.
• After fermentation, the wine is fortified (to about 18% ABV), then aged oxidatively in American oak casks under the traditional “solera” system. There is no protective layer of “flor” (yeast), which allows oxygen exposure and yields the characteristic rich, amber-brown color and deeper flavors.
• Bottled at about 18% alcohol by volume and typically labeled “seco” (dry).
