The 1792 Aged 12 Years Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a special edition release that marks the return of the brand’s aged-stated whiskey series.
Initially launched in 2019, this premium bourbon is produced in small batches each summer and is crafted using the pristine limestone waters of Kentucky, just like the signature whiskey created by Moore over a century ago.
The bourbon is aged for a minimum of 12 years in virgin American oak casks, maturing in Warehouse Z of the Barton Distillery estate. Its mash bill contains a high percentage of rye (estimated to be between 15-25%) and remains undisclosed.
At 96.6 proof, this outstanding whiskey boasts a rich aroma of caramel, vanilla, toffee candy, oak, and golden honey. The palate offers a complex interplay of roasted spices, walnuts, oak, and subtle sweetness, with a delicate touch of bitterness and a dry finish.
