According to The Tequila Lover ‘s Guide to Mexico by Lance Cutler , El Charro Reposado has the following attributes : Intense yellow ocher , complex agave with moderate to macho intensity , hints of white pepper and citrus ; The first taste is achieved candy, closely followed by agave , pepper and oak ; the taste is mildly sweet, with a hint of smoke and a dominantly oak finish.”
